Journey programme
Day 1 — Arrival in Damascus
Meet and greet, followed by check-in at a five-star boutique hotel in the heart of Old Damascus. Enjoy a relaxed walk through its historic streets and sample traditional Damascene food, with free time to explore in the evening. Overnight: Boutique hotel in Old Damascus.
Day 2 — Damascus to the Syrian Desert
Depart in the morning for Baghdad Café. Take a break, explore the surroundings, and enjoy lunch before hiking to a desert summit for sunset. Return on a night hike to the camp. Overnight: Bedouin camp in the Syrian Desert.
Day 3 — Syrian Desert to Palmyra
Continue to Palmyra and spend the day exploring the ancient city and enjoying traditional local cuisine. Overnight: Bedouin guesthouse in Palmyra.
Day 4 — Palmyra to Homs and Kessab
Travel towards the Syrian coast via Homs, then head into the mountains of Kessab to set up camp. Overnight: Camping in the mountains of Kessab.
Day 5 — Kessab Mountain Trek: First Day
Hike through the mountains and villages of Kessab, following trails with views of the Mediterranean Sea. Overnight: Camping in the mountains of Kessab.
Day 6 — Kessab Mountain Trek: Second Day
Continue hiking through forests, mountain peaks, and nearby villages before heading down to the coast. Overnight: Camping on the beach.
Day 7 — Coast to Salah al-Din Castle, Al-Haffah and Tartous Countryside
Pack up camp and visit Salah al-Din Castle and the Al-Haffah area, then continue to the Qadmus region in the countryside of Tartous. Overnight: Wooden mountain cabins.
Day 8 — Exploring the Qadmus Countryside
Spend the day discovering scenic natural sites and distinctive places around Qadmus and the Tartous countryside. Overnight: Return to the wooden cabins.
Day 9 — Tartous Countryside to Maaloula and Damascus
Depart for Maaloula and explore its historic village and landmarks before continuing to Damascus. Overnight: Five-star boutique hotel in Old Damascus.
Day 10 — Damascus Departure
Enjoy free time for shopping and exploring, depending on your flight schedule, followed by an airport transfer. End of the tour.

Journey notes
- This adventure runs for groups of 3 to 12 travellers and requires suitable fitness for uneven terrain and carrying a light day pack.
- Travellers may bring their own camping equipment or request it from the Juzoor team in advance; it will be arranged subject to availability.
- Walking routes and camp locations may change when necessary because of weather, road conditions, permits and safety requirements.

Booking, payment & cancellation
This is Juzoor’s current general booking policy for all journeys while online payment gateways are being introduced. It replaces any older or inconsistent booking wording on this page.
Booking confirmation: A booking is confirmed once Juzoor receives a 30% deposit of the total booking amount via MoneyGram or another suitable transfer method available from your country to Syria, together with a clear passport copy and a confirmed flight-ticket or booking copy for every traveller. Juzoor will confirm the available transfer method and payment details directly.
Balance payment: The remaining amount is payable in cash in US dollars immediately upon arrival.
- 15 or more days before arrival: 50% of the deposit is refunded.
- Within the final 14 days, or a no-show: the full deposit is retained.
